Saiga – A Central Asian Environmental Initiative

From Wikipedia:The saiga antelope is a critically endangered antelope that originally inhabited a vast area of the Eurasian steppe zone from the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains and Caucasus into Dzungaria and Mongolia.

This strange-looking fellow tenuously inhabits the Central Asian steppes and needs all the help he (and she) can get. The species suffers from a fatal bacterial disease as reported in The Guardian and in 2015, 200,000 expired in Bekpak Dala desert region of Kazakhstan

Saiga Spotlight is the annual publication of The Saiga Conservation Alliance.
